How these papers are built
Each paper draws 100 questions at random from a pool of 224, of which 32 are written specifically for lorry drivers: the hours and tachograph rules, the walkaround, air-brake behaviour, endurance braking, cut-in on tight turns, curtainsiders in wind, bridge strikes and the licence route through Driver CPC. Every answer cites the rule or official guidance behind it, so a wrong answer teaches the regulation rather than the letter.
The real test also includes hazard perception (19 clips, pass 67 out of 100), booked separately as part 1b. The clip skill is identical across categories; practise it on the hazard perception page.

Is 85 out of 100 hard to reach?
It is a higher bar proportionally than the car test (85% against 86%), and the paper is long: 115 minutes tests concentration as much as knowledge. Sitting at least one full-length timed paper before the real one is the single best predictor of coping with the length.
Do these papers cover drivers hours and tachographs?
Yes. The pool includes lorry-specific questions on drivers' hours limits, tachograph records, walkaround checks, air brakes, load security, lorry speed limits and blind spots, alongside the general road rules that fill the rest of the real paper.
