Practise the theory test by topic

The UK car theory test draws its 50 questions from 14 topic bands. Drilling a single topic is the fastest way to fix a weak area. Pick a topic below, or take the full timed mock to find out where you stand. Every answer cites the Highway Code rule.

How to use the topics

Start with practice mode on any topic for instant feedback and the cited rule. When a topic feels solid, take the full mock test; its results show your score by topic, so you can come straight back here and drill whatever let you down. Repeat until every topic is comfortably above the pass mark. If it is signs that catch you out, the road signs section groups every sign by shape and colour, and the revision notes cover the reasoning behind each topic before you drill it.

Once the theory is behind you

Your pass certificate lasts two years, so the practical is the next thing to line up. Check the current practical waiting times, the easiest UK test centres, and how to time theory and practical so the certificate does not expire while you wait.
